RE: Need a good Freightliner shop
We had the same problem with all the air bags, not just one - so it was not driveable. Luckily we were in South Carolina at the time. Freightliner got a mechanic to come to us and talked him through a temporary fix so we could get to Gaffney, SC.
Gaffney fixed it and we were back on the road. It was the dump valves, and they needed replaced. Which ever Freightliner place you take it to, have them call Gaffney, SC for details on fixing the problem.

RE: Home Recliner into Coach
We took the stupid "J" couch out of our NorthernStar and replaced it with a regular house recliner. We turn it sideways in the slide while traveling.
The slide floor is higher than coach floor when it is open, so DH bolted wood blocks on the front legs. This way it sits level when we are parked.

Not all IL parks are created equal, Shabbona Lake is charging $25 a night, $35 for holiday weekends... So I can only assume there are other IL parks charging a higher than advertised rate increase.
There are 3 or 4 parks that IL calls "premium parks" that charge $5 more a night than the other parks do. They are Chain o'Lakes, Illinois Beach, Kankakee River, Rock Cut, Starved Rock & Shabbona. Go figure - all ones closest to the city.
I don't know if the 2 state parks closest to us were busy or not over the holiday. We did notice that Morrison, which is usually filled by Sat. am on a regular weekend, has not been near as busy on non holiday weekends.
We did take a ride through the COE campground on Saturday. It is always full on every weekend. We were very surprised to see several empty spots.

We had US Cellular in 2001 & it worked.
Changed to Verizon in 2003 and it works great.
Had Sprint Air Card in 2007. It worked until we crossed the Oregon Inlet, going south. No Sprint signal in Rodanthe.

I think they have a lot better things to than spending excessive money to bring in very little monies!
This issue does not involve "very little monies." The issue of evading sales taxes and registration fees by registering or taking delivery of vehicles out of state is huge money. In California the Highway Patrol aggresively investigates these types of violations.
"Very Little Monies"?? Not with Illinois sales tax and licensing fees. The motor home in question was a DSDP - Dutch Star Diesel Pusher. If, for example, the mh sold for $250,000 in the state of IL, with a 6.25% sales tax.....that's $15,625.00 sales tax for 1 motorhome.....and that does not even include annual license fees.
That sure adds up pretty fast. Especially to a state that is struggling with their budget.

They ended up not inducing her Thurs., 'cause there wasn't any beds left in the OB ward. They had to make room for her Fri night though, because she was in active labor. He came 8 days earlier than predicted.
He's our 3rd grandchild. 6 year old grand daughter graduated from kindergarten Friday. Other one is 4 year old boy.

We just got the same laptop (Inspiron 1520) about 3 weeks ago. The only time I noticed slow typing a couple of times. It was when McCaffee was doing it's weekly scan, or the computer was in the process of doing it's downloads.
Could you let us know if you find the problem and the solution?

No, I don't think we'll chance this one. Hi Tide Rating Paying over $70 for a weekend, plus the price of diesel fuel, we'd be well over $100 just for the site & fuel for a park we've never been to that has bad ratings.
We'll either be at a state park that is half the price and has free showers.

2. Our destination: Can I fill the FW tank when we arrive, or do we have to fill at home and tow all that water?...

fill the fresh water tank before you leave to go to the campsite or buy water since the state park dont provide fresh water.
:?:h They may not have water at each individual site, but they do have spiggots that you can pull up to and fill your tank. People do it all the time, especially with the cost of fuel.
They also have 2 spiggots near the dump station, one is for consumption & the other is not. That's how people who stay for more than a weekend survive a long campout at the state parks.

DD had a softball game in Lena Tuesday afternoon, so we took a cruise through the park afterwards. Not 1 camper in the entire place!!! It was beautiful & quiet. You guys are going to be there the first weekend the shower building will be open. Was kind of surprised that they open it May 1st, when Morrison usually opens theirs the 1st weekend in April.

Even if the rest of you booked up all the "reservable" sites, I seriously doubt the park will be full this early in the season. They usually don't fill up unless it's a holiday weekend. Even during the middle of August, there are still sites available on Saturday mornings.

We have a 2007 that we tow. I love the ease of hooking up and going. I can have it hooked up & ready to go while DH is at work. All he has to do is get in the motor home & drive.
DH says it tows like a dream, "like it's not even there".
